  • Abstract

The traditional monolithic platforms in the financial services industry are not elastic, tightly coupled and have long deployment cycles.  The regulatory demands are higher and it is difficult to support continuous delivery of software. In this paper, we propose a holistic approach to modernize regulated financial data processing platforms with cloud native architecture to address these challenges. We propose an approach with lightweight containerization, Kubernetes namespace governance, multi-tenant isolation, secure ingress management and automated Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployment. Service meshes and API gateways enable secure communication through encryption and access control. Automated CI/CD pipelines incorporate security scanning, policy enforcement and compliance checking into software release lifecycles. The framework follows a phased migration approach to modernize existing workloads with minimal operational disruption. The evaluation results show significant improvements in deployment efficiency, resource utilization, operational scalability and compliance readiness and provide a secure and resilient base for the integration of emerging technologies such as real-time analytics, AI and hybrid cloud infrastructures.
