The Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) is a vital component of today’s modern high-performance computing, data processing and embedded systems applications. This is due to their flexibility, scalability and ability to enable specialized hardware acceleration. UltraRAM is a crucial on-chip memory resource in modern FPGA devices, providing a high-density, low-latency memory suitable for huge data buffering and high-throughput applications. The use of FPGA-based systems in mission-critical domains such as aerospace, artificial intelligence, and communication systems has become widespread. This widespread use makes data integrity and reliability of utmost importance. In this context, to verify memory contents, find faults, debug and validate at the system level, strong readback methods are required. The work focuses on the architecture and verification of UltraRAM readback mechanisms in FPGA devices and attempts to develop a systematic and efficient verification technique to evaluate the readback accuracy, timing performance, and fault detection capabilities. The suggested technique uses architectural analysis, simulation-based verification, and hardware-level testing to investigate the performance and reliability of UltraRAM readback operations under various operating scenarios. A systematic validation approach verifies the memory consistency, detects inconsistencies on read back and examines the error behavior under various test scenarios. The research explores synchronization difficulties, delays and the impact of memory access patterns on readback performance. Experimental results suggest that the proposed design can improve the accuracy of verification, reduce the complexity of debugging and the time of validation. The main contribution of this work is the construction of a realistic and scalable validation method. This study increases the confidence in the operation of UltraRAM and enables the development of more robust FPGA-based systems.
