The global e-commerce logistics sector is entering a period of fundamental structural realignment, moving from a period of rapid, pandemic-induced expansion toward a sophisticated, autonomous, and sustainability-driven "new normal”. This transformation is occurring within a macro-economic environment characterized by heightened geopolitical volatility, acute labour shortages, and an urgent mandate for decarbonization. The market, valued at approximately USD 597.65 billion in 2024, is on a trajectory to reach nearly USD 1.8 trillion by 2035, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.5%. This growth is not merely a function of volume but is driven by a profound technological revolution that integrates Agentic AI, humanoid robotics, and autonomous logistics into the core of supply chain operations. By examining decentralized urban fulfillment models, circular reverse logistics, and emerging regulatory frameworks, this paper explores how organizations must synthesize technical precision with strategic resilience to optimize the future of digital-first retail.
