Digital inclusion plays a vital role in promoting socioeconomic development by enabling equitable access to digital technologies, online services, and economic opportunities. Despite significant advancements in information and communication technologies (ICTs), disparities in digital access, affordability, digital literacy, and infrastructure continue to create a persistent digital divide. This study examines the relationship between digital inclusion and socioeconomic development by exploring its impact on education, healthcare, employment, entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, and public service delivery. A qualitative research approach based on secondary data from academic literature, government reports, and international digital development indices is adopted to develop a conceptual framework integrating digital infrastructure, user capability, institutional support, and socioeconomic outcomes. The findings indicate that higher levels of digital inclusion are associated with improved economic productivity, greater employment opportunities, enhanced educational outcomes, better healthcare accessibility, increased innovation, and reduced social inequality. However, challenges such as inadequate infrastructure, affordability constraints, limited digital skills, cybersecurity concerns, and rural–urban disparities continue to restrict inclusive digital participation. The study concludes that digital inclusion extends beyond technological connectivity and requires coordinated investments in infrastructure, digital literacy, affordable internet access, cybersecurity, and supportive public policies. The proposed framework provides practical insights for policymakers and researchers in designing sustainable digital transformation strategies that foster inclusive and long-term socioeconomic development.
