Digital payment systems have revolutionized modern economies by enabling secure, fast, and convenient cashless transactions. Technologies such as mobile wallets, internet banking, contactless cards, QR-code payments, and biometric authentication improve efficiency, transparency, and financial inclusion. This study explores the evolution of digital payment systems and their contribution to cashless economies by analyzing adoption trends, user acceptance, and economic impacts. The research evaluates factors including security, accessibility, reliability, and economic benefits. The findings show that digital payments promote financial connectivity, transparency, and economic growth. However, challenges such as cybersecurity threats, privacy concerns, regulatory barriers, and digital literacy issues remain. The study concludes that strong digital infrastructure, effective policies, and robust security measures are essential for successful cashless economies. Future digital payment ecosystems are expected to integrate AI, blockchain, biometric technologies, and central bank digital currencies to create more secure, intelligent, and inclusive financial services.
