The increasing environmental damage caused by the traditional linear “take–make–dispose” model has led to the need for sustainable economic alternatives. The Circular Economy (CE) emerges as a transformative approach that separates economic growth from environmental harm by promoting resource efficiency, recycling, remanufacturing, and closed-loop systems. Rooted in concepts like cradle-to-cradle design and industrial ecology, CE integrates renewable energy, digital technologies, and sustainable materials. Environmental sustainability in CE is measured using indicators such as carbon footprint reduction, material circularity, energy efficiency, and water reuse. Analytical tools like Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Material Flow Analysis (MFA) help evaluate its impact. Case studies across industries show significant benefits, including up to 30–70% reduction in emissions, over 80% waste reduction, and improved resource productivity. Despite these advantages, challenges such as regulatory, financial, and behavioral barriers remain. A successful transition requires coordinated efforts in policy, innovation, and stakeholder collaboration. Overall, the circular economy plays a vital role in enhancing environmental sustainability and supporting long-term economic resilience
