The current paper explores the trends in multidisciplinary research output in the global scene based on bibliometric, scientometric, and network-analytic methods. Multidisciplinary research has become one of the prevailing paradigms in solving the too complicated problems of the world, such as climate change, social health, artificial intelligence, and sustainable development. This study charts the trends in collaboration, thematic development, citation influence and institutional involvement, across continents, by examining the patterns of publication scale datasets stored in large scientific indexing databases. The techniques of data-mining and visualization frameworks and statistical models are used to measure the growth of research, interdisciplinarity indices, and cross-domain integration. The results weigh heavily on the differences between regions, increased collaborations across the world, and changed theme prioritization due to the technological and social needs. It is relevant to science policy, research management, and academic strategy as it offers a multifaceted base of empirical material concerning the production of multidisciplinary knowledge.
