  • Abstract

    The rapid development of digital technologies has transformed the education system, introducing online learning as an alternative to traditional offline (face-to-face) education. This study presents a comparative analysis of online and offline learning experiences among undergraduate engineering students, focusing on pedagogical effectiveness, student engagement, academic performance, accessibility, interaction quality, and technological adaptability. A quantitative research design was used, involving a structured questionnaire distributed to 600 students, along with analysis of academic records, attendance, engagement levels, and cognitive retention. Key performance indicators include academic achievement, participation, comprehension rate, interaction level, accessibility, technological adaptability, and satisfaction. Results show that online learning offers higher flexibility (92%) and accessibility (95%), while offline learning provides better engagement (88%), interaction quality (90%), and knowledge retention (85%). A Learning Experience Index (LEI) was developed to measure overall effectiveness. The findings indicate that neither mode alone fully meets modern educational needs, and blended learning models provide the most effective and sustainable approach for future education systems.
