ArticlesAbstract
FastAPI has emerged as a popular framework for developing modern full-stack applications due to its high performance, simplicity, asynchronous programming support, and automatic API documentation. However, as applications scale, developers face challenges related to API latency, database management, asynchronous task coordination, authentication, deployment, testing, and system maintainability. This paper examines common challenges in FastAPI-based full-stack environments, including performance bottlenecks, dependency management, distributed scaling, and integration with frontend and cloud platforms. It presents practical optimization strategies such as asynchronous processing, caching, database connection pooling, containerization, load balancing, background task management, structured logging, and API monitoring. Through practical implementation experiences and case-study analysis, the study demonstrates that effective architectural design and performance optimization can improve the scalability, stability, maintainability, and operational efficiency of FastAPI applications.
